DRAFT — not reviewed by a lawyer. This describes how Admory actually works today, published for review rather than as final terms.

Terms

How Admory works, what you're agreeing to, and what happens when something goes wrong. Every number below is the number the product actually enforces.

Who we are, and what Admory is

Admory is a marketplace. Current college students and recent graduates (mentors) list what they offer; families and applicants (clients) pay to reach them and to buy their work.

We are not an admissions consultancy and we do not employ mentors. Mentors set their own prices and decide what they take on. We take 10% of what a mentor earns, and we keep 100% of access fees.

The bright line: advice, never ghostwriting

Mentors advise, review and coach. They do not write, co-write or substantially rewrite anything a client submits as their own work.

Application materials sold as digital products are reference, not templates. Reusing one as your own is plagiarism. Every copy is watermarked with the buyer's name and the time they bought it, and doing this may cost you an application.

This is not a style guide. Ghostwriting removes an account, and we will say so to a school that asks.

Who may hold an account

Mentors must be 18 or older, and currently enrolled at — or a graduate of — the school they list.

Clients either confirm they are 18 or older, or the account is held by a parent or guardian. There is no account for an under-18 applicant. On a parent-held account the parent is the account holder, the payer, and the only person who can send or receive messages. An applicant may join sessions alongside their parent.

Safety rules for mentors

These are conditions of listing, not suggestions. Breaking them means removal.

What you pay for, and what you get

Unlocking a mentor costs $14.99 once, and is permanent. It buys access to the person — their full profile, their real stats, and the right to message, book and buy from them. It includes none of their work.

An all-access subscription is $50 a month and unlocks every mentor while it is active. Access to a particular mentor stays open for 30 days after your last interaction with them; a message, booking or purchase resets that clock. Once you and a mentor complete a paid transaction, your access to them becomes permanent and never lapses, even if you cancel.

Everything a mentor sells is priced by them, with a $5 minimum and no maximum.

Refunds

The rule depends on what you bought, because the risks are different.

What is public, and what is hidden

Browsing is free and needs no account. Until someone unlocks a mentor, the directory shows a first name, school, a broad field, a headline, a short bio and prices — not a surname, not a class year, not a specific major, not contact details, not exact test scores.

Messages have contact details removed until you and the mentor have completed a paid transaction. We keep the original of every message for safety review.

Masking protects contact details and identity. It is not anonymity: anything a mentor chooses to write about themselves is public, and we tell them so where they write it.

Ending things

You can stop using Admory at any time. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and where someone's safety is involved we will do it immediately rather than after a process.

Money already owed for completed work is still paid out.
